Size: 750 ml.
Weingut St. Urbans-Hof is a German wine producer located in the Mosel. The family-owned estate was founded by Nicolaus Weis in 1947 and has been managed by third generation family member, Nik Weis, since 1997. The estate has been part of the Verband Deutscher Prädikatsweingüter (VDP) since 2000 and is known for producing a range of Riesling wines from well-known vineyards including Piesporter Goldtröpfchen, Leiwener Laurentiuslay and Ockfener Bockstein. The estate's vineyards are located on steep slopes along the Mosel River at Laurentiuslay, Goldtröpfchen and Mehringer and along the Saar River at Bockstein, Saarfeilser and Wiltinger. One of St. Urbans-Hof's best parcels is at Goldtröpfchen where the soils are amongst the stoniest and craggiest of the entire 65-hectare (161-acre) vineyard. This site is planted to ungrafted Riesling vines planted over 100 years ago. Wines produced from this well-known vineyard are traditionally left with residual sweetness.
