Andrea sources the fruit from a trusted friend growing beautiful Sangiovese in northern Montalcino. While the compact soils and cooler climate near Montosoli gives a more austere expression than that of Castelnuovo dell’Abate (the warm climate location of Uccelliera), Voliero has all the pedigree and depth of the beloved Ucc’ estate.
