Ripe and streamlined, with a pretty beam of gently mulled plum, currant and raspberry fruit, flecked with dried anise and fruitcake notes. Ends with a juicy, brambly edge on the finish. Just starting to open up. This was bottled under the Niepoort label from 1992 through 2000.—1997 Vintage Port retrospective (January 2017). Drink now through 2026. 250 cases made.
