The 2013 Vacqueyras is still aging in mostly older barrels (5% new). Giving up plenty of plum, black raspberry, singed leather and distinct minerality, it’s medium-bodied, nicely concentrated and has the bright acidity of the vintage. Moderately tannic, it has excellent mid-palate depth and will round into form nicely once in bottle. It should have upwards of a decade of longevity.
