Henri Giraud - NV - Dame Jane Rose - 750 ml.
France - Champagne
Chardonnay - Pinot Noir
Sparkling - Vintage: NV - Size: 750 ml.
Rich, radiant and enveloping, the NV (MV) Fut de Chêne Rosé captures the essence of the Giraud house style. Sweet red berries, rose petal, mint and cranberry are all nicely pushed forward, but it is the wine's textural finesse and silkiness that are most impressive. I would prefer to drink this racy, flamboyant Rosé over the next few years, while the flavors remain vibrant. The Fut de Chêne Rosé is made from the same base as the Fut de Chêne (70% Pinot and 30% Chardonnay), but with the addition of 6% still Pinot. 50% Reserve Wine and dosage is 6 grams per liter.
Exactly the same base wine as the MV10 but blended before bottling with 8% red Pinot Noir from an 64-year-old vineyard in Aÿ that gives very tiny, juicy and structured grapes, Giraud's NV Aÿ Grand Cru Fût de Chêne Brut MV Rosé has a lovely orange-pink color and opens to a slightly reductive bouquet initially, but then becomes pure and very delicate yet intense, wiht red fruits, red wine and floral aromas. On the palate, this is a medium-bodied yet concentrated, fresh and well-structured Rosé with purity, finesse and mineral length. It has matured fruit flavors in the persistent aftertaste, representing a good portion of reserve wines that add a final layer of complexity. Aged for seven years on yeast on the bottle the wine is pretty vinous, and its initially slightly oaky taste and grip needs a big fat fish. 4.500 bottles produced. Tasted April 2018.

A rich, expressive version, with spice, graphite and coffee liqueur accents, this creamy rosé Champagne is structured by mouthwatering acidity that enlivens the flavors of peach skin, baked white cherry, brioche and mandarin orange peel. Long and rich on the lingering, satiny finish.
