The really showy nose is redolent of violets and red cherries, really expressive, with a smoky hint, also a little meaty. The palate is medium-bodied with a soft texture and polished tannins with some earthiness (is it the Cabernet?) and moderate acidity. They do not acidify and the wines show the vintages and the place. This is a very nice blend. I had a preview of the 2013 and 2014 vintages, still unbottled, and I really liked 2013 too. 2014 it's still very young, but very balanced. Even though this 2012 is approachable now, I'd give it one more year in bottle, and it should also be able to age for quite long. I compare this 2012 to 2010, 2008 and 2004, vintages that are evolving nicely. It's quite remarkable that the wine has aged in new barrels and the oak is not noticeable at all. Also the two varietals are very integrated. It's always interesting to taste two vintages of the top wine from a winery side by side. 8,000 bottles.

["93 RP","Country_Argentina","Distributor","NoVivino","Rating_93","Region_Mendoza","Size_750 ml.","Special_XXI_Inventory","Subregion_ Lujan de Cuyo","Type_
Red","Varietal_Cabernet Sauvignon","Varietal_Malbec","Vintage_2012","Weight_5","Winery_Bodegas Poesia
"option1":"Default Title","option2":null,"option3":null
["Default Title
["//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1997/1819/products/poesia.png?v=1646243108
//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1997/1819/products/poesia.png?v=1646243108
Title

Argentina - Mendoza - Lujan de Cuyo

Malbec - Cabernet Sauvignon

Red - Vintage: 2012 - Size: 750 ml.

Color: Ruby red.

Aroma: Fruity aromas of violet, cherry, currant and liquorice.

Taste: Well balanced, rich, warm, very long finish.

Expert Notes
Robert Parker: 93
The 2012 Poesía, which follows more or less the same formula vintage after vintage, is a 60/40 blend of old-vine ungrafted Malbec and Cabernet Sauvignon which matured in new French oak barrels for two years after fermenting in a combination of stainless-steel and oak vats with indigenous yeasts.
