Mas Doix was created in 1998 when the families Doix and Llagostera decided to continue with the winemaking tradition that began in 1850 and that was interrupted by phylloxera. After the phylloxera, in 1902 Grenache and Carignan were again planted, but these were sent to be vinified in the cooperative of Poboleda. Currently, the whole vinification process is carried out in its facilities. It is a careful and meticulous process, from the selection of the grape in the vineyard to the ageing of all its wines in French oak barrels. All the vineyards are located between 350 and 600 metres of altitude. Protected by two natural barriers, El Montsant and La Serra de Molló, the vineyards benefit from the cool breeze that enters through the northwest, positively slowing down the ripening process.
