Montilla-Moriles is located in the province of Córdoba, in an enclave located in the center of Andalucia. In this territory, winemaking dates back to Roman times.

The “Pedro Ximénez” grape enjoys in these places unbeatable wine-growing conditions, especially those grown in the Sierra de Montilla and in Moriles Alto. The conditions are perfectly combined in the two zones, allowing the grapes to reach an alcoholic content of up to 15 ° at the time of harvest. Therefore, in the case of some wines, it is not necessary to fortify it with alcohol.
