Divina Clementia, located in Ribeira Sacra subzone of Ribeiras do Miño. Raul Saurez, the fourth-generation viticulturist and winemaker of the estate, produces very limited top-quality Mencia-based wines grown on tiny plots. Divina Clementia is a red wine made from family-owned plots of 55-75 year old Mencia vines planted on granite and sand soil. Grapes are harvested by hand, foot-trodden with 20% whole cluster and fermented with indigenous yeasts in stainless steel tanks. The wine is aged 10-12 months in used French Burgundy oak barrels.
